About STARS

Started in 2003 by board member Mindy Gross, STARS is an auxiliary branch of the Fort Bend County Women's Center, comprised of women in the Fort Bend community who exhibit the strong will to lead and serve through volunteerism and fundraising. Their primary cause is helping the Women's Center fulfill it's mission to assist survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault through a high level of commitment of knowledge, resources and finances that directly impact the residents of the Women's Center's Shelter.

Every year the STARS present Girlfriends Giggle, a big girl pajama party designed to incorporate the fun and fabulousness of being a woman into a night of great food, great entertainment and great company! The 2009 event is set for February 19 at Flour. Click the Girlfriends Giggle logo below for more details. All proceeds from STARS activities are donated to FBCWC.
