What We Do
The Fort Bend County Women's Center helps survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and their children with comprehensive services that help them live violence-free, away from their batterers and abusers. Besides providing emergency shelter, our services include counseling, crisis intervention, advocacy (including legal advocacy and accompaniment to court), case management, financial assistance when appropriate, transportation (emergency and other), job training and life skills classes, information and referrals to other social services agencies, GED/ESL classes, referrals into scholarship programs, rental assistance, a Children's Program (counseling, evaluations, tutoring, mentoring, etc.), and an Aftercare Program to assist clients once they leave the shelter. Services are available to both resident and non-resident clients, and are made possible through volunteer hours and donations from the community.
