Our Agency Profile

Our Mission

To assist survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and their children to achieve safety and self-sufficiency, while striving to prevent violence against women.

Our Heritage

Serving Fort Bend and surrounding Counties since 1980. We have helped more than 28,000 survivors and their children work toward building violence-free lives.

Our Philosophy

We serve all victims of domestic violence and their children. No one is turned away and all services are free.

What We Do

The Fort Bend County Women's Center helps survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and their children with comprehensive services that help them live violence-free, away from their batterers and abusers. Besides providing emergency shelter, our services include counseling, crisis intervention, advocacy (including legal advocacy and accompaniment to court), case management, financial assistance when appropriate, transportation (emergency and other), job training and life skills classes, information and referrals to other social services agencies, GED/ESL classes, referrals into scholarship programs, rental assistance, a Children's Program (counseling, evaluations, tutoring, mentoring, etc.), and an Aftercare Program to assist clients once they leave the shelter. Services are available to both resident and non-resident clients, and are made possible through volunteer hours and donations from the community. For more information on how you can join our cause, call (281) 494-4545.
